Hello, world: why this blog exists

Hi, I’m Shreela, a computer engineering graduate who works with data: validating it, moving it through ETL pipelines on AWS, and making sure the numbers people depend on are actually right.

This blog is where I’ll write about the things I’m learning along the way:

  • Data science & machine learning. Practical model building, evaluation, and the messy reality of features that don’t behave.
  • Healthcare data. What it takes to process claims and pricing data carefully and HIPAA-consciously.
  • The craft around the data. SQL that scales, PySpark patterns, and the occasional frontend experiment (this site included).

I believe explaining something clearly is the best way to understand it, and I’d rather publish honest, small write-ups than wait for perfect ones. If any of this resonates, say hello.
